The North American Union, SPP, and NASCO: Erasing America’s Borders

Our government has undertaken some monumental legislation that fully impacts the American way of life, our freedom, and our sovereignty. The purpose of such legislation is to homogenize Canada, Mexico, and the United States into a North American Union - and we're all going to sleep through it.

Have you heard of a little-known program called the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America? This tri-lateral partnership was signed by President Bush last year without Congressional oversight or public approval. Opponents of the SPP have called it NAFTA on steroids - and we all know how disastrous NAFTA has been for everyone except Mexico. It also appears to be modeled on the ineffective and highly unpopular European Union (unpopular with the people, that is).

I went to the website, www.spp.gov, to begin my research. There are, indeed, no boundaries between Mexico, Canada, and the U.S. when it comes to the cooperation of financial, trade, and foreign affair departments. Though some of the PR language on the website sounds fairly benign, the commissions are picking up momentum. And you know what happens when bureaucrats start grasping at influence and power! Except that now we don't have to just worry about our own greedy bureaucrats - but Canada's and Mexico's too.

This is not some weird and obscure conspiracy website, it is our government's plan to literally give away or sell our national sovereignty. What is most galling is that we will share responsibility for security across North America. It is very conceivable that we could see our troops deployed to secure the southern border of Mexico. Yes, you read that right - not OUR unsecured warzone of a southern border - but Mexico's border with Belize and Guatemala. That is the conclusion of an investigative report done by Lou Dobbs on CNN:



Robert B. Murray notes:

President George W. Bush, President Vicente Fox of Mexico, and former Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin agreed in March 2005 to create this union by executive regulations and agreements rather than by treaty to bypass Congress. Twenty working groups were formed and are well on their way to establishing a super-government for North America that will not be bound by our Constitution. The web site for this new bureaucracy—located at www.spp.gov—provides a look at their plans and accomplishments thus far. The plan is to have this arrangement implemented by 2010.

Behind its innocuous title, the “Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America,” the United States will surrender its Constitution. According to Jerome R. Corsi, an author and political commentator, our nation-state prerogatives would be superseded by the authority of a North American court and parliamentary body and our dollar would become the “Amero.”

Possibly the strongest leg of the SPP is NASCO - North America's SuperCorridor Coalition - otherwise known as the NAFTA Superhighway. Airily dismissed by some public officials as internet rumors and hype and completely unaffordable, NASCO has quietly been amassing funding and already begun preliminary construction in Texas.

...already underway is the plan for a NAFTA Superhighway: 1,200 feet wide, stretching from Lazaro Cardenas on the west coast of Mexico, entering the United States at Laredo, Texas, and continuing straight north to Winnipeg, Canada, with another route to Kansas City thence north easterly to Detroit and Montreal.

Containerized goods from Asia will be offloaded onto Mexican trucks, with Mexican drivers, and distributed throughout the economic system. Go to www.nascocorridor.com to view the plan and progress. There will be no internal boundaries to restrict the flow of people, goods or services.

In fact, the first customs stop on the Superhighway will be in the heart of America - Kansas City! Along the way, primary U.S. labor unions will be by-passed in favor of Mexican labor, including the Longshoremen’s Union, the railroad United Transportation Union, and the Teamsters.

How will such a massive flow of goods and foreign traffic be monitored? According to author Jerome Corsi,

"Across the NAFTA Super-Highways will flow millions more Mexicans, now armed with North American border passes and biometric identification, as defined by the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America working groups organized within the Department of Commerce."

Similar toll systems snaking their way from the southern and northern borders cutting through major American cities will force American citizens to submit to having RFID enabled identification cards which contain an ever-increasing array of information about their personal lives.

Illegal aliens with cloned RFID transponders will enjoy streamlined access to the US while Americans labor under the financial burden of tolls that go directly to foreign corporations and restrictions that take the right of free travel out of their hands. This and more is occurring without Congressional oversight, but is naturally funded with our state and federal tax dollars.

But our public officials are saying this could never happen, if only because it's completely unaffordable! Not so, since foreign investment will cover any gaps that taxing the American people leaves. Additionally, the Bush administration has embarked on a policy of selling off key US infrastructure to the highest bidder - in most cases foreign owned corporations.

[K]ey players, including the investment bankers and the worldwide capital investment funds, have a plan to address these fiscal shortcomings with their own resources. On April 30, 1992, President George H.W. Bush signed Executive Order No. 12803 on infrastructure privatization, a move that cleared the way for private capital to invest in U.S. infrastructure projects, including highways.

For instance, the Indiana Toll Road, Virginia's Pocahontas Parkway, a Texas toll road from Austin to Sequin and The Chicago Skyway have all been sold or leased for 99 years to foreign companies who will all enjoy billions in profits from American citizens forced to pay the tolls. And now the New Jersey Turnpike and the Ohio Turnpike are also under the hammer with foreign interests at the forefront of the negotiations.

An earlier Corsi article cites government websites which carry full planning details of the Super Highway. Its construction has already begun in Texas with no congressional oversight whatsoever. The Trans-Texas Corridor is being overseen by The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and the contract is owned by the Cintra corporation which in turn is owned by the King of Spain Juan Carlos. The project is being financed by the implementation of a toll that will be collected by means of GPS tracking devices installed in all vehicles and also envelops many connecting roads to the highway. Watson further adds this dire prediction, "To even be allowed to use major roads and highways, US citizens will be subject to a criminal background check and the government will have the ability to pinpoint their particular RFID signal and remotely block it from central computer mainframes - effectively abolishing freedom of mobility in America."

President Ronald Reagan once said, “A nation without borders is not a nation.” While we’ve been looking elsewhere, our own government has implemented a comprehensive plan to erase our borders with Canada and Mexico. The NAFTA Superhighway will allow vehicles, people and goods to travel from Mexico, into the American heartland, and up to Canada with little impediment, making America's borders obsolete. Coupled with Bush's blanket amnesty program, the new North American Union and the NAFTA Superhighway (NASCO) will fully expedite the wholesale dismantling of American sovereignty. It would seem that the while the rest of the world is already lining up to get their piece of the American pie, Americans will be the last to know. It is happening quietly and behind our backs, while our attention is fully engaged by the War on Terror, the upcoming elections, and our personal lives.

There Are No Civilians In Islam...

The Herald Sun has observed and photographed Hizbollah using civilian areas as cover.

The images, obtained exclusively by the Sunday Herald Sun, show Hezbollah using high-density residential areas as launch pads for rockets and heavy-calibre weapons.

Dressed in civilian clothing so they can quickly disappear, the militants carrying automatic assault rifles and ride in on trucks mounted with cannon.

The photographs, from the Christian area of Wadi Chahrour in the east of Beirut, were taken by a visiting journalist and smuggled out by a friend.

To those of us who've studied jihad even a little,this is no surprize. because the concept of civilians doesn't exist. Those who are shocked by Muslim terrorists blowing up women and children and laying siege to schools or theaters do not understand jihad. The Religion of Peace will lay waste to your ideals of desency, and the Geneva Convention whilst claiming the infidels are doing the same. Strategy Page adds this;

Israeli intelligence agents in Lebanon are getting more good tips on Hizbollah activity, especially within Christian areas. The Lebanese Christians know they are considered eventual targets (as infidels) of Hizbollah, and have noted Hizbollah men joking about getting the "Jews to do our work for us" (killing Lebanese Christians.)

The Melbourne man who smuggled the shots out of Beirut and did not wish to be named said he was less than 400m from the block when it was obliterated.

"Hezbollah came in to launch their rockets, then within minutes the area was blasted by Israeli jets," he said.

From the Herald Sun;

"Until the Hezbollah fighters arrived, it had not been touched by the Israelis. Then it was totally devastated.

"It was carnage. Two innocent people died in that incident, but it was so lucky it was not more."

The release of the images comes as Hezbollah faces criticism for allegedly using innocent civilians as "human shields".

Mr Egeland blasted Hezbollah as "cowards" for operating among civilians.

"When I was in Lebanon, in the Hezbollah heartland, I said Hezbollah must stop this cowardly blending in among women and children," he said.

Here's a small sample of Linknzona's great piece on the dangers of PC.

PC is the enemy of freedom and democracy and equality and truth and reason. If we are to preserve these things we must know PC and fight it.

1) PC people most often lack faith. They lack faith in God, human nature, democracy, America, their family and friends, and themselves. Why are the radical liberals so full of hate? Because they recognize that people with faith are somehow better, happier, devoted to higher purposes, and thus, more honest and less selfish than what they see inside themselves. Conservatives dream of the future and making it better, liberals hate them for it.

2) PC liberals are noted for their guilt arising from what they see as unearned privileges and this leads to an inner lack of self esteem. This, in turn, leads to the belief that things are bad because of us, sometimes referred to as “the Blame America First Crowd.” So, liberals feel very good when they right a perceived wrong by tearing down the successful, the happy, the decent, the faithful, and the powerful to benefit the “victims” they profess to help. If the “victims” become more dependent on the liberals, so much the better, liberals need dependent groups of “victims’ to feed big government. These “dependents” vote, and they vote for those who call them victims.

3) Undoubtedly the greatest evil of PC is that it robs our children of their hope. Without hope, self improvement is all but impossible, despair and hatred often result. How do they accomplish this great evil? They tell certain children (minorities, female, etc.) that they are victims of racism/sexism/etc. and thus, they are doomed to misery and failure. Remember, PC is based on not criticizing victims and punishing those who do.

4) PC people attack you rather than your argument. Discussion soon degenerates to PC people calling you names and you denying that you are racist, sexist, uncaring,… and reasonable, truth-based discussions are impossible. A big part of this is guilt by association. You are white, and thus, a racist. You are a Republican, and thus, don’t care about poor people, you are a man and that’s what all men said before women started getting equality, and on and on …

5) PC people have little sense of humor, are often angry, and take offense easily. Offense often comes from holier than thou superiority which also brings incredible levels of intolerance. Moreover, in the PC mind, those that disagree are wrong and evil.

6) PC people believe in big government with its ability to censure those that would criticize the “victims”, or otherwise disagree. Thus, government itself is a tool of PC to crush and eliminate its enemies.

7) PC people have rigid double standards. For example, if you are a liberal and PC, you can make racial and gender comments and judgments with immunity while the same things said or done by a conservative would mean the end of everything for that person.

The Border, Drugs, And Violence

Strategy Page tells us about the growing problem of violence on the border.

Drug violence has harmed the city of Nuevo Laredo. Long
known as an up and coming Mexican "port city," and perhaps infamous as a
party town (with its prostitute district, Boys Town), the rampant
drug-related violence has closed a number of Mexican businesses in Nuevo
Laredo and sent the economy into a tailspin. At least 40 Nuevo Laredo
companies have shut down due to the violence. Many of the firms have moved
across the border to Laredo, Texas -- where the cops are clean and the
streets are comparatively safe. The breakdown in law and order in
Mexican border towns is creating a warlike atmosphere, as gunmen openly move
about, and open fire in the streets.

Some border governors are demanding help from the army, to man
checkpoints and help control the movements of heavily armed groups of drug gang
members. The army already supplies troops to accompany federal agents
making arrests or conducting raids.

A Texas sheriff told a government committee looking into
border security issues that "border violence" (ie, drug-related
violence along the Texas-Mexican border) is a threat to Texas Zapata County
Sheriff Sigifredo Gonzales said that the weapons used by Texas law
enforcement agencies are "water guns" in comparison to the firepower
possessed by narco-trafficantes. Texas is trying to funnel more security money
to counties along the border.

Mad To The Max

I was going to ignore the Mel Gibson drunk driving episode, he's not a Kennedy, so he'll probably have to at least serve community service. Besides, lately his movies have been some of my favorites. But Gibson's arrest has led to a disturbing revelation.

TMZ has learned that Mel Gibson went on a rampage when he was arrested Friday on suspicion of drunk driving, hurling religious epithets. TMZ has also learned that the Los Angeles County Sheriff's department had the initial report doctored to keep the real story under wraps

According to the report, Gibson became agitated after he was stopped on Pacific Coast Highway and told he was to be detained for drunk driving Friday morning in Malibu. The actor began swearing uncontrollably. Gibson repeatedly said, "My life is f****d."

It gets worse...

The report says Gibson then launched into a barrage of anti-Semitic statements: "F*****g Jews... The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world." Gibson then asked the deputy, "Are you a Jew?"

Jesus was a Jew Mel...

A law enforcement source says Gibson then noticed another female sergeant and yelled, "What do you think you're looking at, sugar tits?"

She was looking at the star of What Women Want, I guess you couldn't read her mind, eh Mel? ...and now the cover-up...

Deputy Mee then wrote an eight-page report detailing Gibson's rampage and comments. Sources say the sergeant on duty felt it was too "inflammatory." A lieutenant and captain then got involved and calls were made to Sheriff's headquarters. Sources say Mee was told Gibson's comments would incite a lot of "Jewish hatred," that the situation in Israel was "way too inflammatory." It was mentioned several times that Gibson, who wrote, directed, and produced 2004's "The Passion of the Christ," had incited "anti-Jewish sentiment" and "For a drunk driving arrest, is this really worth all that?"

Here's a pdf of the original report, so this is not a case of a gossip page gone overboard. People do stupid things when they are drunk, but if you reas the entire article, he was way over the top by any standards. What a horrible disappointment. How many peopple subscribe to this idiotic Zionist conspiracy nonsense?

I hope Mel apologizes publicly , and soon! In regards to the cover-up, I can understand the reasoning, but in the long run, the truth will help Mel more than a lie.

Seattle Jihad

A day without jihad is like a day without Islam.

This time it's in Seattle,

Six people were shot - one fatally - this afternoon at the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle by a man who told a witness he was upset about "what was going on in Israel."

Police spokesman Rich Pruitt said there was one shooter, who was apprehended without incident outside the Jewish Federation building at the corner of Third Avenue and Virginia Street.

"We believe it's a lone individual acting out his antagonism," said David Gomez, who heads the FBI's counterterrorism efforts in Seattle.

Antagonism=Jihad.
The shooter calls himself an American Muslim. "He said 'I am a Muslim American, angry at Israel,' before opening fire on everyone," says a witness.

Hugh Fitzgerald, of Jihad Watch, notes the disturbing trend.

""Let's see. There was the Egyptian man who shot dead two people at the El Al counter at Los Angeles airport. Before that, there was the Muslim who fired at a van of yeshiva boys in Brooklyn, killing 14-year-old Aaron Halberstam. There was the man who killed Rabbi Kahane after one of his speeches at a New York City hotel. There have been the mobs that prevented speeches (by Benjamin Netanyahu and other pro-Israel speakers at Concordia University in Montreal), and have intimidated others or tried to (see Brigitte Gabriel's website). There was the Egyptian co-pilot, who had a Muslim fit, grabbed the controls, and turned the plane into a nose dive, shouting "Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar" as the whole plane, and all of its passengers, including Americans, went down. There was the man, a Muslim named Ford, who tried to kill co-workers at a Safeway because they supposedly "made fun of him" for being a Muslim. There was the recent Muslim graduate of UNC/Chapel Hill who carefully planned to run down fellow students in "The Pit," a place for pedestrian traffic only, where students could sit around and relax. There was the MUslim man who shot several people on the Observation Deck of the Empire State Building, back in the early 1990s, found with a note in his pocket denouncing Jews...There was...there was....there was...
But CAIR is keeping careful track of all the hate crimes against Muslims. Keeping careful track of those storekeepers setting fire to their own grocery stores, and of all the others who have been non-existent victims of non-existent hate crimes.
Oh, there have been hate crimes connected to Islam in America all right. But not because Muslims were the victims. ""

Seek Help, Pat

Buchanon's at it again. It's seems like it was only a week ago I was writing about Pat's unhealthy attitude towards jews, and as his former boss Ronald Reagon would say, "there you go again...". Buchanon's latest disasterpiece is entitled "Israel's Vietnam Syndrome".

The Vietnam comparison is so far off the mark it's seems indicative of his irrationality on this subject. Israel is fighting for it's right to exist as a nation, and in the long run, it's existance as a people. The war in Vietnam wasn't a direct threat to the United States. To make matters worse, The Uber Dhimmi's language is loaded with terms generally reserved for Despots.

Buchanon refers to White House policy as "Bush's democracy crusade" knowing full well the implications of the word crusade in the Muslim world. He goes on to say "Israel needs more time to attain its strategic goal: Cleanse Lebanon". Crusade?, Cleanse? Who's side are you on Pat? Hezbollah has fired 1,500 rockets into Israel, yet Buchanon bemoans " Israel's shock-and-awe campaign, the humanitarian disaster of some 800,000 refugees could produce a political disaster" I suppose Israel is expected to run a Humanitarian war? How do you do that?

Never is heard an encouraging word from Pat, who claims, "For Israel, the days of hope and glory are history." and this is why he wants the US to push for a cease fire. It must give a devoted anti-semite an ulcer to have to witness a soveriegn Jewish state defending itself so well.

Buchanon's specious desire for Israel to negotiate for peace is easily disposed of by Mark Evans

"What Buchanan, and most of the left-leaning world press seem ignorant of is the fact that Israeli blood is paying for American and Western freedom, right now, on the ground, in the real world.

You see, Pat, in the real world, you cannot negotiate with terrorists."

Buchanon never mentions jihad, sharia, taqiyaa, kitman, or anything that might shed a little light on the problems that face Israel, America, and all infidels, even Pat.

So I say, seek help, Pat.

I'm Back, Finally...

With no internet, TV or radio access for a week, I'm ready to start blogging again. Ive got a lot of catching up to do, so untill I do, here's a picture.

Patrick Buchanon: Uber Dhimmi

Is it because he just does't get it, or is Buchanon's latest call against Israel simply his latest example of a creeping anti-Semitism in Pat's soul?

Winess his stupifing September 10th mentality;

""No, Israel is doing this, with the blessing and without a peep of protest from President Bush. And we wonder why they hate us.""

Ah, the justifiable hatred. I'm not even going to waste my time explaining why we're right and the terrorist's are wrong, I'm more interested in why an American conservative would hold such an absurd view.

Although Buchanon claims to be an isolationist, even a brief bit of reasearch reveals Pat's motive.

In a 1977 column, Buchanan wrote,

"Though Hitler was indeed racist and anti-Semitic to the core, a man who without compunction could commit murder and genocide, he was also an individual of great courage, a soldier's soldier in the Great War, a political organizer of the first rank, a leader steeped in the history of Europe, who possessed oratorical powers that could awe even those who despised him...Hitler's success was not based on his extraordinary gifts alone. His genius was an intuitive sense of the mushiness, the character flaws, the weakness masquerading as morality that was in the hearts of the statesmen who stood in his path."

Hitler a genius? Pat doesn't stop there, He was the principal force encouraging Reagan to visit Bitberg, comparing fallen German soldiers to Holocaust victums. Being an isolationist just isn't good enough reason to side with terrorists, It was Hezbollah, after all who killed the 200 US Marines in Lebanon. But I think this is more than just Pat's inability to recognize the jihad against infidels. Buchanon is an embarrasment to right. His views belong on Daily Kos, not WND. He needs to be written off as an anti-Semite quack along with his Muslim friends, the far left, and anyone else who finds comfort in the reasoning behind terrorism.

Joeseph Farah of WND compares Buchanon to Kofi Anon;

""I hope Pat Buchanan and Kofi Annan are feeling good about themselves today.
They agree with each other on what needs to be done to resolve the Middle East conflict. For whatever reasons, they fail to grasp the root cause of the Arab-Israeli struggle – that Hezbollah, Hamas and much of the Arab and Muslim world want more than anything else in the world to destroy the Jewish state.""

Buchanon seems to think that if it weren't for the Jews, all would be right in the Middle East, sound familiar?

""But what Israel is doing is imposing deliberate suffering on civilians, collective punishment on innocent people, to force them to do something they are powerless to do: disarm the gunmen among them. Such a policy violates international law and comports neither with our values nor our interests. It is un-American and un-Christian""

Hezbollah is anti-American and anti Christian, Israel isn't. To state otherwise helps feed the hatred that sends young men to suicide bombings. They are terrorists, not "gunmen". I'm beginning to think Pat understands Hezbollah all too well, he just agrees with them.

WTC Movie; Stone Gets it Right

The early reviews are in, Oliver Stone's new movie, World Trade Center is getting heaps of praise.Michelle Malkin has a nice round up. There was plenty of concern that Stone, the director of the conspiracy film, JFK, would politicize WTC. But that is far from the case, Cal Thomas and National Review are giving WTC rave reviews. I'm excited about the prospect of seeing this movie on August 9th.

Victory for Mt Soledad Cross

via Stop the ACLU

The House voted by an overwhelming majority for a bill that seeks to acquire the land where Mt. Soledad Cross stands and keep the war memorial in place. The final vote was 349 to 74. All 74 nay votes were from democrats. The bill will now go to the Senate and will be introduced by Rep. Jeff Sessions.

While the current court cases trying to bring the cross down will continue, from my understanding this legislation could make them moot. The current cases are being argued on the state constitution and if the federal government steps in and acquires the land it would override any verdict on the current argument. Of course we expect this isn’t near the end of the road. I’m sure the ACLU will file a suit to challenge the constitutionality of the legislation if it passes.

Rural Terrorists in America

As the FBI digs deeper into the world of Islamic extremist groups in the United States, it has encountered a growing number of them operating in rural areas. Jamaat ul Fuqra is a group that began in Pakistan, where most members still reside, but has spread to North America over the last two decades. Many members have been busted for various crimes, usually ones related to fraud and abuse of social welfare programs.

The Muslims of America organization recruits in prisons, and has already produced a number of Islamic terrorists. What worries the FBI is the many more members who talk-the-talk, but have not yet moved to the walk-the-walk phase yet. Even if these groups are not actively carrying out terrorist acts, their preaching and everyday conversations indicate they would provide support services for any "holy warriors" that came knocking.

These groups have survived because they have learned how to work the system, including the FBI, and whatever counter-terrorism mojo that gets thrown at them. A major part of their defenses is their insularity, even from other Moslems. In fact, Jamaat ul Fuqra considers less conservative Moslems as heretics. Many of the Fuqra folks prefer to live out in the country, and create as much isolation for themselves as possible. Finding out what's going on in these groups is much more difficult than with people in the general Moslem population. While most Moslem-Americans are loyal citizens, and willing to send in tips about possible terrorist groups, outfits like Jamaat ul Fuqra just don't do that sort of thing, and react violently if they find any of their members doing so.

On the plus side, many of these extremist or conservative Moslem groups know, or suspect, that they are being watched. Any move to carry out a terrorist attack would bring the law down on them and, their families. So far, the only terrorist action out of these groups have been false starts or suspicious, not indictable, activity. But the potential is there, and it's scary.

Gates of Vienna has reported on Jamaat-ul-Fuqra in California and Virginia

Jamaat ul-Fuqra is an Islamic sect that seeks to purify Islam through violence. Fuqra is led by Pakistani cleric Shaykh Mubarik Ali Gilani, who established the organization in the early 1980s. Gilani now resides in Pakistan, but most Fuqra cells are located in North America and the Caribbean. Fuqra members have purchased isolated rural compounds in North America to live communally, practice their faith, and insulate themselves from Western culture.

Jamaat ul-Furqua translates to "community of the impoverished". It's philosophy of "purification through violence" should designate this group as a cult. But the DOS website seems to take a "let's wait until they kill somebody" approach.

Question: The group headed by Shaykh Gilani used to be designated by the State Department as a terrorist group but it was taken off the list. Why?

Answer: Jamaat ul-Fuqra has never been designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization. It was included in several recent annual terrorism reports under "other terrorist groups," i.e., groups that had carried out acts of terrorism but that were not formally designated by the Secretary of State. However, because of the group's inactivity during 2000, it was not included in the most recent terrorism report covering that calendar year.

Recent anti-terrorist efforts have gone well in Florida and Toronto, let's hope Jamaat ul-Fuqra isn't ignored due to "recent inactivity". The question is, why let groups like this flourish here in the US?

A Clarification on my Position on Immigration

In talking to some readers, I realized that they were under the impression that I disliked immigrants.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

My maiden name sounded distinctly "ethnic" and unusual. As a result, most people assumed that I was one of the many displaced people that arrived in the Cleveland area after WWII, including the recently arrived.

I, not being the brightest bulb in the pack, just thought they were interested in fascinating me when they eagerly initiated conversations. I didn't realize at the time they were hoping to talk to a fellow "newbie".

This resulted in my acquiring friendships with people from:

* Japan

* Pakistan

* Vietnam

* Greece

* Jordan

* Romania

...just to name the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

With the exception of one person from Mexico, they all had something in common - they LEGALLY immigrated.

And that's the crux of my "problem" with immigration. I simply think it's unfair to keep allowing people to flow over the border without going through channels. Some want to think of themselves as compassionate people, who gladly accept the "poor, huddled masses, yearning to breathe free".

Yeah, right. By allowing those who ignore inconvenient laws to escape retribution, our country is denying law-abiding foreigners to claim their rightful spot in the queue. Folks, we can't accept everybody. The world holds over 6 billion people. At what point would you like us to stop taking everyone in?

When our economy breaks down under the strain of taking in under-educated, under-skilled workers? Many of them don't contribute to Social Security and taxes - they are paid under the table.

When our schools no longer have the ability to educate our children? It costs money to provide ESL services, folks.

When the illegals outnumber the natives? And vote against democracy? See last week's Blogburst articles for examples of THAT.

Any discussion of immigration has to begin with a recognition that we can't take in a flood of people without documentation, who started that journey by breaking the law, and who largely don't speak much English and have little education or skills. To do so jeopardizes the very structure of our society. We can bring in SOME, we can adjust to helping them assimilate, we just can't manage the process with this many at once.

Yeah, I know they just want to work. The question to ask is, would you give up YOUR job to help the immigrant? Would you take them into YOUR house? Would you work a second job to pay for educating their kids?

If not, then you haven't the right to expect the rest of the country to do what you won't do.

Earth to Sen. Frist

This letter, sent to Senator Frist from a retired border patrol agent, has more common sense than all the bull being spewed from the Senate, with the exception of a few sensible representatives. Anyway, this guy has it together and shows the rhetoric for what it is.

Dear Senator Frist:There is a huge amount of propaganda and myths circulating about "Illegal Aliens", particularly "Illegal Mexican, Salvadorian, Guatemalan and Honduran Aliens".

1. "Illegal Aliens" generally do NOT want citizenship. Americans are very vain thinking that everybody in the world wants to be a citizen. Mexicans, and other nationalities want to remain citizens of their home countries while obtaining the benefits offered by the United States such as employment, medical care, in-state tuition, government subsidized housing and free education for their offspring. Their main attraction is employment and their loyalty usually remains at home. They want benefits earned and subsidized by middle class Americans. What "Illegal Aliens" want are benefits of American residence without paying the price.

2. There are no jobs that Americans won't do. "Illegal Aliens" are doing jobs that Americans can't take and still support their families. "Illegal Aliens" take low wage jobs, live dozens in a single residence home, share expenses and send money to their home Country. There are no jobs that Americans won't do for a decent wage.

3. Every person who illegally entered this nation left a home. They are NOT homeless and they are NOT Americans. Some left jobs in their home countries. They come to send money to their real home as evidenced by the more than 20 billion dollars sent out of the country each year by "Illegal Aliens". These "Illegal aliens" knowingly and willfully entered this nation in violation of the law and therefore assumed the risk of detection and deportation. Those who brought their alien children assumed the responsibility and risk on behalf of their children.

4. "Illegal Aliens" are NOT critical to the economy. "Illegal Aliens" constitute less than 5% of the workforce. However, they reduce wages and benefits for lawful

5. This is NOT an immigrant nation. There are 280 million native born Americans. While it is true that this nation was settled and founded by immigrants (Legal Immigrants), it is also true that there is not a nation on this planet that was not settled by immigrants at one time or another.

6. The United States is welcoming to "Legal Immigrants. "Illegal Aliens" are NOT immigrants by definition. The government accepts more lawful immigrants every year than the rest of the world combined.

7. There is no such thing as the "Hispanic Vote". Hispanics are white, brown, black and every shade in between. Hispanics are Republicans, Democrats, Anarchists, Communists, Marxists and Independents. The so-called "Hispanic Vote" is a myth. Pandering to "Illegal Aliens" to get the Hispanic Vote is a dead end. Mexico is NOT a friend of the United States. Since 1848 Mexicans have resented the United States During World War I, Mexico allowed German spies to operate freely in Mexico to spy on the U.S. During World War II, Mexico allowed the Axis powers to spy on the U.S. from Mexico. During the Cold War, Mexico allowed spies hostile to the U.S.to operate freely. The attack on the Twin Towers in 2001 was cheered and applauded all across Mexico Today Mexican school children are taught that the U.S. stole CaliforniaArizonaNew Mexico and Texas. If you don't believe it, check out some Mexican textbooks written for their schoolchildren.

9. Although some "Illegal Aliens" enter this country for a better life, there are 6 billion people on this planet. At least 1 billion of those live on less than one dollar a day. If wanting a better life is a valid excuse to break the law and sneak into America then let's allow those one billion to come to America and we'll turn the USA into a Third World nation overnight. Besides, there are 280 million native born Americans who want a better life. I'll bet Bill Gates and Donald Trump want a better life. When will the USA lifeboat be full? Since when is wanting a better life a good reason to trash another nation?

10. There is a labor shortage in this country: This is a lie. There are hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of American housewives, senior citizens, students, unemployed and underemployed who would gladly take jobs at a decent wage.

11. It is racist to want secure borders: What is racist about wanting secure borders and a secure What is racist about not wanting people to sneak into America and steal benefits we have set aside for legal aliens, senior citizens, children and other legal residents? What is it about race that entitles people to violate our laws, steal identities, and take the American Dream without paying the price?

Allah or Jesus?

Last month I attended my annual training session that's required for maintaining my state prison security clearance. During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths, who explained each of their beliefs.

I was particularly interested in what the Islamic Imam had to say. The Imam gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam complete with a video. After the presentations, time was provided for questions and answers.

When it was my turn, I directed my question to the Imam and asked: "Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that most Imams and clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against the infidels of the world. And, that by killing an infidel, which is a command to all Muslims, they are assured of a place in heaven. If that's the case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?"

There was no disagreement with my statements andwithout hesitation, he replied, "Non-believers!"

I responded, "So, let me make sure I have this straight. All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can go to Heaven. Is that correct?"

The ___expression on his face changed from one of authority and command to that of a little boy who had just gotten caught with his hand in the cookie jar. He sheepishly replied, "Yes."

I then stated, "Well, sir, I have a real problem trying to imagine Pope John Paul commanding all Catholics to kill those of your faith or Dr. Stanley ordering Protestants to do the same in order to go to Heaven!" The Imam was speechless. I continued, "I also have a problem with being your friend when you and your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me. Let me ask you a question. Would you rather have your Allah who tells you to kill me in order to go to Heaven or my Jesus who tells me to love you because I am going to Heaven and He wants you to be with me?"

You could have heard a pin drop as the Imam hung hishead in shame. Needless to say, the organizers and/or promoters of the "Diversification" training seminar were not happy with Rick's way of dealing with the Islamic Imam and exposing the truth about the Muslim's beliefs.

The August issue of National Geographic Aventure magazine deals with the damage to our wildlife areas due to rampant migration and drug trafficing.

I wrote my initials beside item one, which said that I understood that the area I wished to visit "contains the danger of property damage and permanent, painful, disabling, and disfiguring injury or death due to high explosive detonations from falling objects such as aircraft, aerial targets, live ammunition, missiles, bombs, etc."

That was only the first item I needed to initial. There were 11 more.

The Hold Harmless Agreement must be signed by visitors to the area because the
Prieta Cabeza National Wildlife refuge has become a battleground of dead bodies, abandoned cars, and occasional gunfights between Border Agents and drug runners.

Prieta Cabeza is the home to the endangered Sonoran Pronghorn Antelope. It is estimated there are 75 in all of Arizona. Roger Di Rosa, manager of the Cabeza statse, "We have some 700 species of flora and fauna out here," Di Rosa said. "It's the richest desert in the world."

In 2002 the traffic through the Cabeza just exploded, Di Rosa said. "And last spring, 'coyotes' [people who lead UDAs through the desert for a fee] were bringing groups as large as a hundred through here. If someone is weak or falters, they just leave them. So instead of working on habitat recovery, animal recovery, or maintaining the wilderness character of the refuge, we've become a de facto Border Patrol as well as a search and rescue group." Di Rosa said that they have five or six deaths in the refuge every year. "But more get through the Cabeza and die up north, in the Goldwater Range."

In addition to the UDAs, (Undocumented Aliens) the Cabeza is now a prime spot for drug runners. Those who walk marijuana across the border, called "backpackers," carry 40-pound (18-kilogram) loads, and they usually travel in groups of 5 to 15. The smuggling can be very sophisticated: There are often resupply stations set up in the desert, filled with gallon (4-quart) jugs of water and covered over in camouflage netting. Spotters, some equipped with night-vision goggles, sit on the mountaintops and radio down to the smugglers that all is clear.

Other dope runners load up stolen vehicles with drugs and drive, hell-bent, through the desert to a safe house or a drop in the U.S. "There've been exchanges of gunfire here," Di Rosa said. "Luckily, no one's been hurt, but these guys have fully automatic weapons. AK-47s, Uzis, you name it. A Border Patrol helicopter was fired on last summer."

The Growler Valley was all but ruined, a graveyard for cars abandoned and abused, a labyrinth of off-road tracks, with garbage and human waste strewed everywhere.

Wildfires In SoCal

The wildfires in Yucca Valley have made national news of late. Yesterday I could see the smoke from where we were nearly 60 miles south of the blaze. Yucca Valley is the home of the Desert Christ Park, of which I posted about back in March. Historic Pioneertown, Big Morongo Valley, and Joshua Tree Naional Monument are also nearby. So far, the fire is moving east away from populated areas and Joshua Tree, however, this could also be bad news if the fire reaches the resort town of Big Bear or the surrounding National Park.

The 8,200-acre Millard fire remained just 5% contained, with winds pushing it east, Miller said.

""The Mojave's unforgiving heat and winds, along with impenetrable terrain, allowed the Sawtooth blaze to chew through more than 53,000 acres of greasewood and Joshua trees, according to the latest figures, creating a wildfire that threatens portions of the San Bernardino Mountains.

Eleven people, including nine firefighters, have been treated for minor burns and smoke inhalation.

About 660 firefighters were fighting the Millard blaze in temperatures that are expected to again reach 100 degrees.

The outlook was optimistic for the mountain communities closest to the fires' northern perimeter.""

Is it so hard to imagine?

Rather that indulge into the imagination of terrorists, let's consider the reality of jihad. To accept Markos' argument, one who have to belive that Israel is the only reason for jihad, yet jihad is global. A Muslim conquest of Israel would embolden terrorists worldwide, resulting in even more bloodshed. To presume otherwise exposes the left as desperately anti-Semetic, or dimly aware of the violent nature of the religion of peace.

I am going to assume that most people can agree that America's population is found across a vast political spectrum. From libertarians and liberals to moderates and conservatives we find each other across a broad field on ideas and issues. Many times we can all agree that certain things are problems within society yet be on the opposite extremes on how to solve that problem. One of the problems of society that most people can agree on is that of crime. The solution to reducing this problem most likely is found somewhere in the middle and not the extremes.

One of the purposes of the Constitution is to ensure domestic tranquility. Due process, the Fifth Amendment right, is a procedural right, one that defines the methods that can properly be used to ensure domestic tranquility. Without both, there can be no liberty. Domestic tranquility can easily be achieved without respect for due process, as dictatorships throughout history have shown. It is also quite possible to have a society where due process is respected-even considered sacrosanct-and still lack for domestic tranquility. The latter predicament more closely resembles the situation in the United States today.Source

The ACLU in its extreme ideals of society unravels due process from the reasons it was created to serve. The ACLU maintains that it is their purpose to ensure due process and the police to tend to domestic tranquility. I agree that the roles should be separate. I think the opposite would be an invitation to disaster. The ACLU's sincerity in their statement might be more believable if, as we shall show, they were not so often in opposition of law enforcement. It is generally accepted that domestic tranquility is absolutely necessary to the process of liberty. What is often less understood is how the exclusive concern for due process can also be damaging to liberty.

I think we can all agree on how important domestic tranquility is to maintaining liberty. What good are all of our freedoms if we are afraid to practice them? The only liberties worth having are ones that we can enjoy without fear. This simply can't be done if a society is filled with crime and violence.

The ACLU do not share these moderate views on society. They have a much more extreme viewpoint.

"According to the ACLU," writes Jeffrey Leeds, "there is no right to live in a quiet or pleasant society, but there is a right to speak, to seek to persuade, to have unpopular or even stupid views. Moreover, there is no right even to live in a safe society. The ACLU will work to vindicate a convicted criminal's rights to due process, even if it means setting a killer free."Source

Leeds isn't exaggerating. One ACLU official Dorothy Ehrlich can be quoted as saying, "the citizens' need to be 'free from criminal activity'....is not, in the legal sense, a 'right' at all (and thus is nowhere mentioned in the Bill of Rights) but, rather, an essential social good, like fire prevention, or adequate medical care, or the prevention of famine." Source

Funny that an official from the ACLU is stating that if a right isn't mentioned in the Constitution then it isn't a right at all. After all, this is the organization that defends abortion on demand, and the sale of child porn. These are not mentioned in the Constitution either.

The ACLU's skewed views toward crime can also be seen in its approach toward crime victims. The ACLU has shown very little interest in the rights of crime victims. When it comes down to it, the rights of criminals seem to always override the rights of the victims. For example, the ACLU opposes the use of a crime victim impact statement in capital sentencing because it "unconstitutionally requires consideration of factors which have no bearing on the defendant's responsibility or guilt." Of course the courts have ruled otherwise.

While the ACLU says they have our liberty as its mission, its policies in the area of criminal justice have only aggravated and accelerated the already terrible problems of maintaining domestic tranquility. Their opposition to the death penalty doesn't bother me by itself. It is the ACLU general attitude toward criminal justice as a whole that I deem dangerous. Throughout its history it has fought many court battles to:

Eliminate all prison sentencing from criminal judicial procedure except in a few "extreme" cases of utter incorrigibility-and only then as the penalty of last resort.Source

Let me briefly interrupt my list for a little perspective on this particular policy.

In conjunction with their opposition to the death penalty in all cases this particular policy is quite disturbing to me. It would seem that the ACLU wants rehabilitation and probation to be the primary means of preventing crime in all but the most extreme cases.

"Deprivation of an individual's physical freedom is one of the most severe interferences with liberty that the state can impose. Moreover, imprisonment is harsh, frequently counterproductive, and costly." This explains why the ACLU holds that "a suspended sentence with probation should be the preferred sentence, to be chosen generally unless the circumstances plainly call for greater severity." The Union favors alternative sentencing and lists the reintegration of the offender into the community as "the most appropriate correctional approach." Here's the clincher: "probation should be authorized by the legislature in every case and exceptions to the principle are not favored." Prior to 1991, when this policy was revised, the Union said that only such serious crimes as "murder or treason" should qualify as exceptions. The explicit referencing of those two crimes was deleted because of the public embarrassment it caused the organization.Source

Let us continue with the list:

Disallow capital punishment in any and all situations as a violation of the constitution's "cruel and unusual punishment" clause;

Discredit deterrence as a basis for incarceration;

Oppose rehabilitative confinement;

Block all sentencing guidelines that seek restitution to the victims of criminal behavior;

Mandate suspended sentences with probation as the primary form of "treatment" for criminal offenders;

Restrict all court sentencing discretion through the legislative process or direct judicial intervention in trial proceedings-thus severely crippling the principle of trial by jury;

Eliminate all mandatory sentencing laws;

Facilitate mandatory early parole and release programs;

And, oppose new construction or expansion of jails, prisons, and detention centers. Source

In addition the ACLU is also involved in limiting the power of law enforcement to maintain domestic tranquility:

Severely restrict search and arrest procedures even when evidence of guilt is available;

Hinder protective or corrective police action at crime scenes;

Invalidate airport bomb detectors, drunk driving checkpoints, periodic or random drug screening, and other preventative security measures;

Prohibit the free exchange of criminal records between law enforcement agencies;

Limit even the most sound and non-prejudicial police interrogation and investigation techniques;

Institute national or regional bureaucratic control over law enforcement agencies-thus effectively, removing local accountability;

Severely restrict riot control, swat team, and antiterrorist activities and efforts;

Make most surveillance operations, stakeout procedures, and community crackdowns illegal;

There is one recommendation that the ACLU makes on how to stem crime: strong gun control legislation. It adopted its first gun-control policy in the late sixties which was actually pretty reasonable. For the sake of brevity on such a broad topic I will not quote it. Suffice it to say that most of today's liberals would not agree with it.

However...

In 1971 the Union took the position that the ownership of guns, any guns, aside from guns owned by the militia, was not constitutionally protected.Source

The ACLU's policy towards the second amendment is:

"The ACLU agrees with the Supreme Court's long-standing interpretation of the Second Amendment [as set forth in the 1939 case, U.S. v. Miller] that the individual's right to bear arms applies only to the preservation or efficiency of a well-regulated militia. Except for lawful police and military purposes, the possession of weapons by individuals is not constitutionally protected. Therefore, there is no constitutional impediment to the regulation of firearms."

It is strange for the ACLU to use such a dated ruling as precedent, when many more recent cases have ruled otherwise.

The ACLU's approach to crime, its prevention, and punishment clearly are not in the mainstream opinion of most Americans. The organization has consistently been an adversary of law enforcement. The Union's perspective is almost entirely focused on the criminal which makes many people conclude that rather being a defender of civil liberties, the ACLU is actually the champion of criminal liberties.

Roger Baldwin once actually admitted that he could not in good conscience serve on a jury because he simply "would never take part in convicting anyone." When asked how society could possibly continue to exist without some sort of penal justice system, eh tersely snapped, "That's your problem."Source

The ACLU's pandering to criminals, lack of interest in true victims, and opposition to law enforcement are not solutions to society's burden with crime. I advise everyone to use common sense, and not to follow the extreme positions of the ACLU when it comes to preventing and punishing crime.

La Raza and Rove

I watched with horror on the news as Karl Rove toook the podium at a
La Raza meeting. He actually said he needed their help to defeat the
Congresss on immigration. He claims we Have to have a Guest Worker
program.

We have to Karl? The country will be crushed without it Mr. Rove? Sir,
I consider you a traitor at this point and time. La Raza is a racist
anti-American organization that believes in reconquista! That means
they want to take U.S. territory away from us, by attrition or force!
Why do people even talk to these people? La Raza actually means the race!

I am fed up with President Bush on the issue of illegal immigration,
he is officially my enemy now. The Senate "comprehensive" Bill will
destroy this country!

Since he signed the North
American Union agreement in 2005 that would change our southern
border to that of Mexicos border with Central America we should not be
surprised by this move, now should we.

Jews, Christians, Hindus, Atheists etc...all infidels, all targets. If our Western (and other non-Islamic) leaders had any courage, any sense at all, they would enforce an economic sanction against all Muslim nations until they grow up and decide to join the rest of the world.

The pic to the left is a frame grab from the video, the words "things have taken a turn for the worse" emblazoned across the screen while this photo and another of a lone soldier bowing his head in prayer at an apparent gravesite of one of his comrades.
It's one thing to oppose the war, but is it really necessary to exploit the dead?

Q) Do you still adhere to your previous fatwas, in particular concerning the condemnation of Muslims informing authorities of terrorist activity?

A) Providing the British or US police or any other security services of nonbelievers with information on Muslims, whether they are mujahideen who fight for the sake of God or ordinary Muslims, is forbidden from the Islamic Shariah perspective. It is a major act of disbelief and he who commits this is considered a dissident of Islam, because it falls within the framework of supporting disbelievers over Muslims.

Q) Do you think about going back to the United Kingdom?

A) No. I do not think about that unless Britain renounces its terror laws through which it is terrorizing Muslims under the pretext of fighting terrorism. It is religiously prohibited for people like me to return to the United Kingdom, because this would fall within the framework of offering oneself as captive. Islam prohibits Muslims from allowing themselves to become captives of nonbelievers.

Q) What is your advice to the British Muslim youth and to your students who are far away from you?

A) I advise the British Muslim youth in general and my dear students in particular not to mix with the ignorant British society and not to isolate themselves from people. A) I believe that one day honest Muslims in the United Kingdom will, God willing, turn it into "Islamistan," like what the first Muslims did in Eritrea and Indonesia. The great dream of Islam will come true. Muslims dream to see flags that read: "There is no god but Allah" fluttering in the wind on top of Big Ben and the House of Commons, God willing.

To the first question, why would the Imams issue a fatwa prohibiting the telling of terrorist plots if Islam is a religion of peace? Shouldn't they encourage cooperation with authorities who just want to prevent mass murder? Meanwhile at Dhimmi Watch...

In many countries across Western Europe, Muslim immigrants tend to settle in major cities, with the native population retreating to minor cities or into the countryside. Previously, Europeans or non-Europeans could travel between countries and visit new cities, each with its own, distinctive character and peculiarities. Soon, you will travel from London to Paris, Amsterdam or Stockholm and find that you have left one city dominated by burkas and sharia to find……yet another city dominated by burkas and sharia. For some reason, this eradication of unique, urban cultures is to be celebrated as "cultural diversity."

Diversity is a one way street when applied to Islam.

A report on Hindus being driven out of the English city of Bradford by young Muslims was described by some Hindus as "ethnic cleansing." Some of them want to leave the city to escape the "Talibanization of
Bradford."

It was "youths" who tried to burn down France in hopes of gaining an Islamic state.

...former Muslim Dr. Patrick Sookhdeo warned that British Muslims could soon form a state within the state. Dr Sookhdeo believed that "in a decade, you will see parts of English cities which are controlled by Muslim clerics and which follow, not the common law, but aspects of Muslim sharia law."

In France, Muslims already have many smaller states within the state. Criminologist Lucienne Bui Trong wrote that: "From 106 hot points in 1991, we went to 818 sensitive areas in 1999." A researcher for the Netherlands Ministry for Immigration and Integration found that 40% of young Moroccan Muslims in the Netherlands rejected Western values and democracy. Six to seven percent were prepared to use force to "defend" Islam, and the majority were opposed to freedom of speech for offensive statements, particularly criticism of Islam.

America should watch closely the slow disinigration of Europe. The implosion of Western culture will only encourage the jihadist's in thier quest for a global Caliphate.

Tolerance, diversity, multiculturism...the death of freedom.
America needs to rediscover it's melting pot roots, it has served us well for over 200 years, it has protected our freedom and our way of life. There is no logical justification for the tolerance of a belief that is hostile to the Constitution. Yet that is exactly what is expected of us.

Syd Barrett Dead at 60

Indulge me an off topic post;

One of the most inventive and influentual musicians of the late 60's died recently of diabetes. I've always been a big fan of Syd's solo stuff as well as his work with the group he founded, Pink Floyd. Heaven is fortunate today, for now Syd plays for the Angels.

""There are many stories about Barrett's bizarre and intermittently psychotic behaviour - many of which are undoubtedly apocryphal, although some are known to be true. According to Roger Waters, Barrett came into what was to be their last practice session with a new song he had dubbed "Have You Got It, Yet?" The song seemed simple enough when he first presented it to his bandmates, but it soon became impossibly difficult to learn: as they were practicing it, Barrett kept changing the arrangement. He would then play it again, with the arbitrary changes, and sing "Have you got it yet?" After more than an hour of trying to "get it," they realised they never would.""




There has been much speculation concerning the psychological well-being of Syd Barrett. Many believe he suffered from schizophrenia, though he didn't totally fit the typical profile for that condition. Additionally, some have suggested that Barrett had traits associated with Asperger Syndrome, a condition within the autistic spectrum.

Barrett's use of recreational drugs, especially LSD, during the 1960s is well-documented. Some believe that Barrett's drug use helped trigger (or at the very least inflame) his mental illness. In an article published in 2006, Gilmour was quoted as saying: "In my opinion, his breakdown would have happened anyway. It was a deep-rooted thing. But I'll say the psychedelic experience might well have acted as a catalyst. Still, I just don't think he could deal with the vision of success and all the things that went with it."

There is also the possibility that the sudden death of his father (a respected pathologist) when he was 11 caused him considerable anguish and left emotional scars that probably sowed some of the seeds of his later malaise. The subject matter of a lot of his songs, the nursery rhymes and fairy tale fantasies, were reminiscent for him of a "happier" period of his childhood before his father's death.

We may never fully understand Syd, but his music is still there for us to enjoy.
