MSM Dhimmitude
I rarely read the papers any more, I haven't suscribed to a paper in years, but today I purchased the local paper to check the classifieds and stumbled upon this bit of agitprop.
Islam: Suspended in centuries past?
""In the more than four years since the Sept 11, 2001, attacks -- a period that has seen many more such horrendous acts conducted "in the name of Islam"-- many Americans wonder whether Islam itself is at the root of the problem.""
Some of us don't wonder at all, we did a little research.
9:111 Lo! Allah hath bought from the believers their lives and their wealth because the Garden will be theirs: they shall fight in the way of Allah and shall slay and be slain. 9:111 = 9/11/01, get it?
""There is no doubt that, as the first Muslim, the prophet lived an exemplary life. ""
The beheading of 900 people in Medina and enslaving thier women and children for profit, seems less an exemplary. Mohammed, the only prophet in Islam is the only prophet to behave in such a manner.
""Islam today is the only major world religion in which fundamentalism has become identified as mainstream. However, this fundamentalism is not representative of mainstream Islam -- a tolerant, peaceful religion that thrives from Southeast Asia to South America.""
Egads, where do I even start with this mess? The violence in Iraq is between Sunni's, Kurds and Shia's. The article takes the predictable steps to explain to gullible infidels that Islam is being "highjacked (sic)" by the Wahhabi sect. Even the casual observer should be able to see through this, with over 5,000 people mudered in the name of Islam since 9/11, it takes a true believer in Islam to ignore them all. Even here in America, the DC snipers and NCU Chappel Hill incident were done with numerous mentions of Quranic text. There were no mentions of Wahhabism though.
Whether little girls are beheaded in Indonesia or a genocide in Darfur, it's an isolated incident. Every time, an isolated incident to the 5,000th power. To say that violent Jihad is carried out by only a tiny minority of Muslims is like saying that very few Germans were Nazi's in WWII. It entirely misses the point, it's the ideaology that is the problem. After 1400 years, Islam has spead it's jihad worldwide, it can't be stopped by the lies propogated by it's apologists in the media.
9:5 Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush. But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then leave their way free. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
The truth is right there before us, convert, submit to dhimmitude or die.

Ooh, every time I see something like that in the media, I have to self-medicate with some chocolate... At this rate, I'm gonna be 500 pounds.
