Iraq War Vet Suing Michael Moore

A double-amputee Iraq-war vet is suing Michael Moore for $85 million, claiming the portly peacenik recycled an old interview and used it out of context to make him appear anti-war in “Fahrenheit 9/11.”

Sgt. Peter Damon, 33, who strongly supports America’s invasion of Iraq, said he never agreed to be in the 2004 movie, which trashes President Bush.

In the 2003 interview, which he did at Walter Reed Army Hospital for NBC News, he discussed only a new painkiller the military was using on wounded vets. “They took the clip because it was a gut-wrenching scene,” Damon said yesterday. “They sandwiched it in. [Moore] was using me as ammunition.” Read it all at Stop The ACLU Here's hoping the suit is successful, taking advantage of a double amputee
to make millions. It seems like a "culture of corruption" is catching up to the "Slacker Nation" leader. Perhaps he has the extra money stored in his freezer?

Wouldn't that be great? The Fharenhype movie goes into great detail the lies and innaccuracy of Moores'film. But you pretty much have to buy it to see it (I did). It's worth the Money, but very few have seen it as a result.

Not true. These are folks like George Bush (sr & jr) & Donald Rumsfeld. Or worse, they are the anti-christ.
But you didn't know that, did you.

I hope Michael Moore continues to do what he does, and that the case will be rejected.

Even those with only a dim understanding of the bible know that the anti-christ attacks Israel. I certainly don't agree with everything Bush does, but compared to those who do attack Israel (mostly on the left btw) he's a saint.

Kevin,

Totally aside of what's happening in Israel, name me one good reason for North America to attach Iraque ?

Bush didn't have one, he grabbed 9/11 as the ultimate occassion to do whatever he (and his henchmen) pleased.
And why did the american government wait two months before they started going after Bin Laden ?
This sort of stuff is unforgivable
and inhumane (to the many innocent people of Baghdad who lost everything).

Bush did not only f*** up big time, he also lost all credit w/ almost all other countries in this world, five years after 9/11.

Bless Michael Moore. That guy is doing what should be done.
Telling the truth in country where the truth is forbidden.

anonymous,
One reason? I'll give you 19 UN resolutions, 100,000 murdered Kurds, rape rooms, torture chambers, his connection to Mohammed Atta...

Why aren't you concerned about the way Saddam treated his own people?

Kevin,

I will not argue that these are serious violations of human rights. And yes, I agree that Saddam deserves the death penaltly.
But the middle east is not the only place in the world where this sorte of inhuman things are happening.

The bottom line is, Bush did not attack Iraque because of that. Bush attacked Iraque because of the nuclear weapons that Saddam supposedly possessed. The enourmous threat that Iraque would be to the western world. This turned out to be a complete bogus, and the US gov. knew that all along.

Look at the mess that Iraque is today. You can't call that liberation. It's as bad as it was, and it's getting worse.

Bush had only one good reason to be interested in iraque: money or more specific OIL.

G.W. Bush is not a warrior for world freedom. Quite the opposite.
He represents the US at its most ugliest.
I hope he gets impeached, really quick.

I'm beginning to think there is nothing I can do to convince you. I try to point out the 100,00 Kurds killed by Saddam, but all you can focus on is Bush. In short, you simply hate Bush more than any dictator. If you are an American, I feel sorry for you. It must be terrible to live in a country that you loathe.
