SF Won't Comply With Federal Immigration Law

San Francisco isn't the only city with laws that favor illegal Immigrants. In fact many are so-called "Sanctuary Cities".

SAN FRANCISCO - Mayor Gavin Newsom said Thursday that The City will not comply with any federal legislation that criminalizes efforts to help illegal immigrants.
“San Francisco stands foursquare in strong opposition to the rhetoric coming out of Washington, D.C.,” Newsom said. “If people think we were defiant on the gay marriage issue, they haven’t seen defiance.”

In Colorado, the state legislature is attempting to undo this practice.

Police chiefs and sheriffs complain that ICE rarely responds to their reports of illegal immigrants.

"In the 1970s we called immigration and they were there the next day, regardless of what the charges were," said George Epp, executive director of the County Sheriffs of Colorado.

Today, though, ICE will show up only for violent felonies, and sometimes not even then, Epp said.

My primary concern with the immigration issue has always been that a pourous border cannot be expected to prevent terrorism. Why would would an al-Qaeda operative be concerned with being caught trying to enter this country? Especially in a Sanctuary City. The reason countries have borders is to maintain the security of the it's citizens. Our leaders are bound by the Constitution to protect us from terrorists, criminals, and any other threat by screening those undesirables from those who truely want to become Americans. There is no way this can be reasonably be accomplished with the system we currently have in place.

Although "baby steps " have been taken in an attempt to rectify our Swiss cheese-sercurity, even these efforts have met strong resistance. The Federal Government needs to follow Colorado's lead and begin forcing the hand of local Government officials who's political correctness outweighs reason.

I don't think that SF is populated by humans. I think that the aliens have taken over...

San Francisco has been into defying the law for a long time. But let another big quake hit there (Seismologists are expressing concern right now), and SF will want plenty of help.

Why doesn’t someone just enforced the law?
Fine some people--SEND somebody to JAIL. That would be a good start!
