Remember The Alamo!
The City Troll reminds us of the reason the Southwest is American.
In the current battle over our Southern Border it is time to put it into an historical perspective. Most people don't appreciate history, as for myself I love it. It helps keep things grounded including the events of today. We are supposed to remember the events of the past, so that we may learn from them. This is also the reason that so many on the left are so busy rewriting history so that our children don't learn truthful lessons, and instead are taught PC history denying them the ability to learn both the good lessons and the bad ones. If they study this countries history most of our current politicians and teachers would be hung for TREASON.
Lets just look at the problem on our southern border. We are being overrun, and the army of ILLEGALS that are overrunning us are raping and pillaging our system of government. As any conquering army they are now setting the demands, and theirs are Citizenship, Healthcare, and Welfare.
Also like a conquering army they are laying claim to the land that they feel they have conquered. In this case they want 5 of the lower States. (Texas, California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico).
As in the past we need to fight this invasion. Not with guns and and forts but with votes and demands of our own.
Here is some information gathered by fellow blogger Sparky. He has a better grasp on this situation than any of our politicians and Sparky is in England.
Remember The Alamo
The Alamo was remembered, as well as the Goliad massacre (perpetrated by order of General Santa Anna), forty-six days later, on April 21, 1836 at the Battle of San Jacinto, where 783 men led by General Sam Houston defeated 1,500 Mexicans. The battle lasted only eighteen minutes. When all was over, 630 men of the Mexican army were dead; 730 were prisoners.Nine Texans lost their lives.General Santa Anna, disguised as a peasant, was captured the following day.The independence of Texas was won !some useful links:http://members.tripod.com/aries46/alamo.htm

Here is a list of those who defended your Alamo, When you read the story of why and how they were willing to die for their independence, and the heroism of certain death they must have to a man knew they faced that day, made me proud of the achievements and honour, and I’m not even an American. You have to ram your history down your leaders throats, they are giving up your USA by stealth!!!http://members.tripod.com/aries4...46/
