The CAIR-U.A.E. Connection

Perhaps we should let them run our ports.

An Arab nation with ties to 9-11 has pledged a major endowment to the Council on American-Islamic Relations, even as the Washington-based nonprofit group insists it receives no foreign support.

The United Arab Emirates recently announced on its official government website that it has set up an endowment serving as a source of income for CAIR. The amount of the funding is undisclosed, but sources say it will be enough to help CAIR finance the construction of a new $24 million office building and a planned $50 million public-relations campaign aimed at repairing Islam's -- and the UAE's -- image in America.

A recent Washington Post-ABC poll found that a majority of Americans think Muslims are more prone to resort to violence, and more Americans now have a negative view of Islam than right after the 9-11 terror attacks. Read it all

Kevin,
I just posted on this 9/11 tribute project. Perhaps you're interested?

CAIR and UAE connected? I'm shocked! (Not really)

When will folks realize that CAIR is a group of terrorists with a microphone?

So nice of the UAE to fund them...

I'm not surprised that people have an even lower opinion of Islam than right after 9-11. We hadn't really paid much attention to Muslims before then, and we held our breath, waiting for denouncement from the Imams, for a sign that our fears were unfounded and that 9-11 was an isolated incident.

Instead, we got the cartoon riots, endless instances of violence against Christians abroad, and silence from the so-called moderate Muslim; and that's just the start.

Once one understand how much Arab money ends up in the pockets of OUR politicians, then you begin to understand how disgusted I am with these so-called "servants of the American people."

But hey, here's an idea that some in our government might find useful. Let's contract out the Department of Homeland Security to the UAE too. Of course, I feel really good about the fact that the likes of Grover Norquist has the private phone number of Carl Rove.

My advice: everyone stock up on ammunition.
