10. Child Interstate Abortion Notification Act (HR 748). Makes it a federal crime to transport a minor across state lines in an attempt to circumvent parental consent laws. Passed, 270-157, on April 27, 2005.

9. Henry J. Hyde United Nations Reform Act (HR 2745). Requires a withholding of 50% of the United States’ regular assessed dues to the UN if the agency doesn’t make specified reforms. Passed, 221-184, on June 17, 2005.

8. Budget Resolution for Fiscal 2006 (H.Con.Res. 95). Passed a budget that includes $35 billion in mandatory savings and $70 billion in tax cuts over five years.

7. Tax Relief Extension Reconciliation Act (HR 4297). Saved taxpayers $56 billion over five years. Passed, 234-197, on Dec. 8, 2005.

6. Threatened and Endangered Species Recovery Act (HR 3824). Reformed the Endangered Species Act, offering greater protection for private property owners. Passed, 229-193, on Sept. 29, 2005.

5. Private Property Rights Protection Act (HR 4128). Eminent domain reform following the Kelo v. New London decision. Passed, 376-38, on Nov. 3, 2005.

4. Death Tax Repeal Permanency Act (HR 8). Permanently repeals the estate tax. Passed, 272-162, on April 13, 2005.

3. Point-of-Order Protection. Change in House rules allows members to bring a point of order against any appropriation bill that exceeds its 302(b) spending limits. Agreed to on March 16, 2005.

2. Border Protection, Antiterrorism, and Illegal Immigration Control Act (HR 4437). Provides border and interior measures, including a 700-mile fence, additional Border Patrol agents and workplace enforcement. Passed, 239-182, on Dec. 16, 2005.

1. Deficit Reduction Act (HR 4241). Reconciliation bill that saved taxpayers a net of $50 billion over five years. Passed, 217-215, on Nov. 18, 2005.

The other day Dick Morris said the Bush isn't the great communicator Reagan was. I have to agree, Since 9/11, he's had trouble bypassing the MSM and getting to the people. Although he has a much tougher job than Reagan.
