Aztlan Elementry

from WND,

Academia Semillas del Pueblo Charter School
A Los Angeles Unified School district Hispanic K-8 school led by a principal who believes in racial segregation and sees the institution as part of a larger cultural "struggle."

Among the school's donors are the National Council of La Raza Charter School Development Initiative; Raza Development Fund, Inc.; and the Pasadena City College chapter of MeCHA, or Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan.
"La Raza," or "the Race," is a designation by many Mexicans who see themselves as part of a transnational ethnic group they hope will one day reclaim Aztlan, the mythical birthplace of the Aztecs. In Chicano folklore, Aztlan includes California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and parts of Colorado and Texas.
The school teaches the ancient Nahutal language of the Aztecs and its base-20 math system. Another language of emphasis is Mandarin, even though no Chinese attend.
MEChA, founded at U.C. Santa Barbara in 1969, has the stated goal of returning the American Southwest to Mexico.

The school's principal, Marcos Aguilar is interviewed online here

TCLA: Finally, what do you see as the legacy of the Brown decision?

MA: If Brown was just about letting Black people into a White school, well we don’t care about that anymore. We don’t necessarily want to go to White schools. What we want to do is teach ourselves, teach our children the way we have of teaching. We don’t want to drink from a White water fountain, we have our own wells and our natural reservoirs and our way of collecting rain in our aqueducts. We don’t need a White water fountain. So the whole issue of segregation and the whole issue of the Civil Rights Movement is all within the box of White culture and White supremacy. We should not still be fighting for what they have. We are not interested in what they have because we have so much more and because the world is so much larger. And ultimately the White way, the American way, the neo liberal, capitalist way of life will eventually lead to our own destruction. And so it isn’t about an argument of joining neo liberalism, it’s about us being able, as human beings, to surpass the barrier.

Aguilar was a student at UCLA in 1993 when he participated in a 50-day student takeover after Chicano activist and labor leader Caesar Chavez died. School officials eventually gave in to demands to create a Chicano studies major and agreed to pay some $50,000 in damages caused by the protesters.

Now Aguilar has worked his way into the system and has started his own little racist anti-American school. Paid for by the taxpayers and completely free of whites, blacks asians etc.. To make matters worse, the children he is teaching will be ill suited for high school. Well immersed in a enviroment hostile to other races and your own country can't be good for any child. The LA School Board needs to put an end to Aguilar's Reconquista now.

If this is allowed to happen, the next step will be for Muslims to be allowed to have their own schools. And Americans should know what that will mean... Sharia Law, Madrassas, and all that goes with it. This must be stopped now.

Every one can have their own schools just not publicly funded.
The idea of teaching culture to these student is fine and helps round them out, but to indoctrinate them with some of the other crap is child abuse.

wmd is right, if this was a private school then there is no legal complaint. However I still think these kids are getting a sorry excuse for an education.

Don't private schools still have to abide by certain standards?

Wow. How scary!

Follow up on this: O'Reilly on Fox interviewed the guy who originally found this story and the ABC reporter who tried to interview the principal and others at the school.

A car tried to run down the reporter twice across the street from the school, they the driver jumped out of the car and attacked the reporter, stole his tape (video or audio, I don't know).

After the police were called etc., the reporter got in his car to drive home/work and another car followed him.

This is scary stuff. Keep on it.

p.s. This school is not a private school, it is a 'charter' school, and is completely funded by government funds just like any public school.

Boy does Debbie make a good point. America is finished if we don't rise up and force our elected officials to take notice. It'll take a few years, but the United States is through if this rubbish doesn't stop.

And this school, is rubbish. The school is funded by American taxpayers!?

Meanwhile, the Senate, and the President keep telling us how good the bill is they're trying to pass. I'd like to tell them to resign if they're not going to listen to the people that voted them in office.

My son has been a student at the Academia Semillas Del Pueblo Charter School for the last four years. One of the mottos learned by the students is "We respect, we work hard, we never give up" Respect? That is very interesting, dont you think? When have you ever known of a racist individual emphasizing respect? Im sorry to dissapoint you all, but this is just another example of the media distorting the facts to incite emotions, for the ultimate goal. Ratings! Please people, if you truly are concerned about "child abuse" in this school, volunteer for a day, or pick up a copy of the schools charter. Then you will truly understand that the only intent of this school, is to provide the students with the knowledge and skills to attain a higher education and ultimatly succeed in the world. Isn't that what all parents want in a school?

You need to first find out the FACTS!!!!!!!!! You say you heard, is it from a credible source that has done an investigation? Why don't you do a little research of your own before you come out as an ignorant fool for everyone to see?

Marcos Aguilar is the source. Click on the links, read what he said, inform yourself. We're not going to stand idly by while the Reconquista rolls on. We're on to you and you friends and thats why you're upset.

""the only intent of this school, is to provide the students with the knowledge and skills to attain a higher education and ultimatly succeed in the world.""

That's quite a contrast to;

""We don’t want to drink from a White water fountain, we have our own wells and our natural reservoirs and our way of collecting rain in our aqueducts. We don’t need a White water fountain.""

Teaching kids to hate America is unacceptable.
